That’s not an easy question to answer. Anyone that tells you that it is, is lying to you. There are many factors that make it difficult, but at the same time, there are some ways that you can get close enough that he’ll REALLY be excited by the gift you bought him.

Step 1: What kind of golfer is he?

This one is crucial. If your golfer is 75, he has a slower swing-speed than a guy that is 45. I’d say the following is a good rule of thumb.

18-55 = Stiff Flex Shaft
55-65 = Regular Flex Shaft
66+ = Senior Flex Shaft
